Niton UK

Niton UK is the UK’s leading distributor of handheld X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) analysers, which have become an essential tool in providing non-destructive testing of materials across a number of applications. Since 1999, Niton UK has carved out an enviable reputation as the exclusive distributor and service provider for Thermo Scientific XRF analysers throughout the UK and Ireland, with thousands of customers in a wide range of industries ranging from scrap merchants to manufacturers to Inspection Companies and Government regulatory bodies.

Our analysers can be utilised in the Food Industry to help provide rapid and accurate identification of any inorganic foreign bodies found in the process, such as metal, glass or ceramics. As the analysers are portable and can be used handheld they can help map out the various metallurgies used in your process – i.e in auger conveyors, chopping blades, mixing paddles, piping, vessels etc – creating essentially a fingerprint of the materials you use so that when a foreign body is found, it can easily be determined where in the process it came from and can therefore help focus where service attention is most needed preventing further contamination and unnecessary recalls.

Niton XRF can also be used on goods-in to check and confirm the equipment you are receiving is what you are expecting thus heading-off costly mistakes further down the line and wasted time. Furthermore, this record of the actual specific metallurgies and materials used in your process can also help greatly in defending against fake or fraudulent contamination complaints.

Based near Basingstoke we have a team of service support engineers available to conduct services or maintenance as required as well as being available for technical advice and support. They are able to offer service contracts, and we have a significant loan fleet of analysers available if needed. In addition, we have field-based personnel available to visit your site for non-obligation demonstrations and ultimately hand-delivery with on-site training.
