Within the Safety Division, GVS manufacture a new and highly innovative range of re-usable half mask respirators to protect individual workers from harmful substances created from a variety of applications. The GVS Elipse half masks are designed, manufactured and tested here in the UK, at GVS’ own manufacturing plant in Lancashire.
Here at GVS, we realise comfort is extremely important when selecting which respirator to choose for your workforce. With that in mind, the highly successful Elipse P3 half mask is known for being extremely lightweight, ultra-compact, and comfortable for the wearer. Designed to be worn where there is a high level of harmful particles within the working environment, the Elipse P3 can be worn during a number of different food processing applications.
Made from TPE (Thermo Plastic Elastomer), which has flexible, soft and hypo-allergenic characteristics, to allow the mask to be worn for long periods of time without compromising on comfort. At just over 130g, it is one of the lightest on the market in its class. Its ergonomic shape provides maximum visibility to the wearer, and it can easily be worn with safety eyewear, helmets and hearing protection without compromising the fit.
Replaceable filters are easily changed to extend the overall life of the respirator, and offer a minimum of 99.95% filtration against 0.3 microns sized particles. To give the wearer complete confidence they are being protected, GVS go above and beyond the requirements of EN143, and test each individual filter before it leaves the factory to ensure it is compliant and safe to use.
The filters’ patented rubber encapsulation is completely unique and represents a major advancement is mask design. It allows the filters to be curved and fit the contours of the wearer’s face, which enables the complete mask to be more compact and low profile.
Also available is the GVS Elipse Integra P3, the world’s first fully integrated half mask respirator and safety eyewear to offer combined protection, enhanced compatibility and comfort. This brand new innovation reduces the risks of non-conformity, non-compliancy and mist building up within the lens.
A key aspect to be considered when selecting respirators for your workforce is face fit testing, which must be carried out on each individual worker who needs respiratory protection. To help with this, the Elipse P3 is available in multiple sizes to ensure it will fit a high number of different face shapes and sizes.
