As a leading manufacturer of form-fill-seal and premade pouch machinery, Mespack (a Duravant company) now offers the latest generation of machine models with technology developed to be able to run with environmentally sustainable materials, whilst maintaining high capacity production, efficiency and reliability.

Aware of the growing problem of global pollution and playing an active role in the pledge made by the industry’s major stakeholders to have all their products in recyclable packaging, Mespack have been collaborating with their customers, manufacturers and suppliers over the last couple of years to adapt their installed base, as well as perform tests on machines in production with the aim to have all their equipment performing at optimum levels with new sustainable materials, whilst upholding their quality and efficiency standards.

Machines feature an energy efficient design resulting in minimal waste at the packaging material and product level, reaching a guaranteed minimum efficiency level of 96%, in many cases reaching more than 98%.  Pack presentation can no longer be a simple package, instead there must be a real packaging solution to reduce its carbon footprint, whilst encompassing shape and function for an innovative product.

Working closely with leading suppliers Amcor, Mondi, Dow, Constantia Flexibles and Elpast amongst others, Mespack have seen positive results with consumable materials: film and applications reclosable features especially caps and zippers.

Machines are being exhibited at the forthcoming Interpack Exhibition in Dusseldorf running with 100% recyclable laminates, including a new solution to reduce the gap between the sealing point required of fully recyclable spouts being fitted and the melting point of the film, successfully sealing it with no leakage.  Visit their stand Hall 6/B73.

In the very near future they have great confidence that their clients will be in production with other eco sustainable materials including biodegradable and compostable alternatives.

Mespack recognized as a highly innovative brand and leading manufacturer has a broad portfolio of products offering this technology that specialize in forming, filling and sealing sachets, stickpacks, pouches and a range of end of line packaging solutions.  With installations in Global blue-chip companies, Mespack serve a wide range of markets that include food, beverage, confectionery, pet food, cosmetic and personal care, healthcare, pharmaceutical and chemicals.

Within the context of their commitment to sustainability and in order to reduce its carbon footprint, Mespack has recently carried out a study on the environmental impact of all its operations, both in terms of manufacturing and transport.  Reducing consumption of paper, the company no longer prints the machine manual (between 900 -1,500 pages) and now offers these electronically with dynamic benefits of videos and imagery.   All staff are trained in waste management and active steps have been taken to replace consumables with eco friendly alternatives, with an active program in place for the recycling of wood, plastics, metals, cardboard, office stationery etc.,

Springvale Equipment sole representatives in the UK/Ireland for Mespack are proud to be supporting this stance and developments and are actively encouraging their customers to come forward to Mespack to run trials with their chosen laminate options, with Mespack now offering a test machine machine in their centre of excellence.
