Clamp-on & Go, Non-Invasive Flow Measurement Solutions
Dynasonics have developed a comprehensive range of simple-to-fit, cost effective, ultrasonic clamp-on liquid flow meters. With portable, hand-held and fixed models for pipes from 13mm to 5000mm in diameter there is an option to suit a range of applications.
Dynasonics meters simply clamp on to the outside of pipes with ultrasonic transducers and do not contact the internal liquid, technology that has inherent advantages over alternate devices including: non-invasive installation, no pressure head loss, no moving parts to maintain or replace, no fluid compatibility issue, and a bi-directional measuring range that ensures reliable readings even at very low and high flow rates.
Perhaps the most advanced model from Dynasonics is the DXN™. Incorporating innovative hybrid metering technology the DXN™ can automatically switch between transit time and Doppler modes as needed and can be provided with a heat energy feature. The DXN™ features the industry’s only advanced colour touch-screen interface featuring job-specific controls, 1 GB internal data logging, USB connectivity and a superior measurement processing speed, taking over 50 flow readings per second. The DXN™ is one portable meter that really can do it all making it an indispensable tool for energy audits.
The TFXL™ is the economical option offered by Dynasonics that provides instant, accurate and repeatable bio-directional flow measurement readings of clean liquids using transit time technology. The TFXL™ features an easy-to-read digital display, 4-20mA analogue output, USB port, and is available as a compact model with novel integrated pipe mounting design for smaller pipes or with remote transducers for small, medium and large pipes. The free Windows-based software allows users to easily configure, calibrate and troubleshoot. The TFX Ultra™ incorporates all the features of the TFXL™ but with additional features including Modbus or BACnet communication, a rugged aluminium enclosure and optional heat energy measurement.
The DFX™ uses the Doppler technique to measure flows of liquids containing suspended particles or aerated liquids that reflect an ultrasonic signal. Doppler flow meters can easily accommodate a variety of what are considered ‘difficult’ flow measurement applications such as sewage, slurries and wastewater. The DFX™ is a compact model that can be installed and fully operational in minutes. The UFX™ is Dynasonics hand-held Doppler model, the unit employs a non-invasive, hand-held transducer, which is placed on the outside of pipes and battery-powered electronics packaged in a NEMA 4 (IP65)-rated enclosure.
