Springvale Equipment present the new collaborative Cartoner 4.0 from Dutch manufacturer Mpac Langen
To meet the need for on-demand packaging, well suited for e Commerce applications where customers are needing to pick and pack a wide variety of short batch orders Mpac Langen has developed their Cartoner 4.0. This robotic, compact cartoning machine incorporates two collaborative FANUC robots, and multiple carton blank magazines for different sized cartons. The machine will assess and pick up the product to be packed, selecting the right carton from the range of carton sizes, before forming the carton, placing the item within the carton and closing the carton, all automatically.
This intelligent robotic cartoning technology is efficient, packing up to 20 cartons per minute and can handle a multitude of different products and cartons on demand. The Cartoner 4.0 can be integrated seamlessly and safely alongside existing human workers, thanks to the collaborative robots, to improve efficiencies, without the need for changeovers or adjustments therefore delivering cost savings against traditional cartoning methods.
As many organizers of industry trade shows and expos around the world have had to cancel long-awaited events this year due to COVID-19; Mpac Langen, a world leader in packaging automation; responded accordingly and launched a free online event, appropriately titled Adapt & Grow 2020.
With manufacturing changing faster than ever, and many companies wondering how their businesses can keep up; industry professionals from the Food & Beverage and Health & Personal Care sectors came together at this event to unlock new opportunities and overcome current challenges.
The inspiring two-day event delivered unmissable insights to arm businesses with a competitive advantage in our rapidly changing world, covering a range of topics such as the importance of track and trace technology, uncovering the key to sustainable success and understanding the relationship between Industry 4.0 and packaging automation.
Staying true to its philosophy in a recent rebrand, Mpac demonstrated “Limitless Thinking” throughout, from influential expert speakers to live demonstrations of its world-class packaging machinery, and the response was resoundly positive.
