THERMASET – A LEADING POWDER COATING SPECIALIST
Staffordshire-based Thermaset Limited is the one of the UK’s leading powder coating specialists and a Qualicoat approved manufacturer.
The company has been creating powder coating for more than 30 years -formulating, manufacturing and supplying products to a wide range of customers. It supplies powder coatings direct through a combination of routes to market comprising telephone orders, email and via its online shop. Its powder coatings are renowned for their stability and reliability and stock powders are available for next day delivery across the UK.
As one of the largest stockists of high quality powder coatings in the country, Thermaset has assisted customers on a wide range of technical issues. Through early consultation, we will ensure that not only the right type of coating is selected for a particular application, but also recommend what preparatory work needs to be undertaken beforehand.
With thousands of formulations and over 600 stock colours, there is no colour that Thermaset can’t match and no special requirement that cannot be met – whether it be BS, RAL, custom or match. The company can meet a customer’s needs from a few kilograms of powder coating – for a special order – through to tonnes for a long-term contract.
Among the industrial markets for powder coatings are: automotive, electrical/electronics, scaffolding/form work, general engineering and steel partitioning.
Powder coatings are also extensively used on both commercial and domestic furniture and home appliance industries because of their toughness, hardness and corrosion resistance.
Whilst powder coating applications are not yet widely used on auto bodies, they are finding growing applications on components for both interior and exterior applications.
Within the electrical and electronics sector, powder coatings are used in various applications including: computer casings, computer components, encapsulation and telecommunications equipment.
Key to the continued development of the business is a commitment to invest both in the ongoing development and training of staff, as well as the infrastructure of the factory site. The company has just achieved the international standard ISO 14001 Certification, and is therefore putting environmental management at the heart of its business.
Thermaset has firm plans in place to invest heavily towards the end of 2016 and through 2017 on the redevelopment of existing research and development facilities, as well as the creation of a training school and showroom.
The company launched a new suite of individual A4 size product specification brochures earlier this year for its Spectra range and Ripple Finishes, a description of its Hygienilac Antibacterial powder coatings and a Stock Range brochure. New to the market is its Spectra range – a collection of diverse finishes and an exciting alternative to standard RAL and BS colours.
