ZED: Multi-format food packaging system
The ZED is a flexible multi-format, ergonomically designed food packaging system with a small footprint and robust build. These attributes make it a great investment for any business looking to automate in a low to medium volume food packaging environment, or for a business that has a number of short complex daily production runs with a high number of variable product types and sizes.
The ZED is simple to use and can be manually controlled using a pedal or by double push buttons. Alternately, it can be configured to operate in automatic mode where the machine activation is instigated by sensors detecting the different product being processed.
Vertical inclination from 0 to 80 can be achieved thanks to a simple hand wheel. Different inclinations change the falling speed of the product enabling the machine to work in both horizontal (HFFS), vertical (VFFS) and any degree between 0-80 as an inclined system depending on the products to be processed.
A multitude of products ranging from fruit, vegetables, bread, sweets, seafood, dairy and cold meats can be managed in their raw form, or held with a tray (depending on the product). The products can be single products or multiple products in the same bag.
The forming tunnel of the machine is easily adjustable allowing to you to pack a wide range of format sizes. The film reel can be adjusted up to an impressive width of 680 mm. The bag size can be accurately altered using adjustable measures to promote quick changeovers and accurate repeatable set-ups as required. The film types can be varied and they include polypropylene, polyolefin and perforated bakery film.
The high quality seal is achieved by to two pairs of motor driven sealing wheels and a mechanical sealing bar for transversal sealing.
The ZED boasts high quality ISO Certified components throughout, and these same components are used in our large systems range. Component suppliers include; Siemens, Mitsubishi and ABB to name a few.
All parts of the ZED in contact with the products are manufactured in stainless steel.
